Booking Summer 2026
Built by hand.Built to last.
C&N Carpentry is Ciaran and Neil — two carpenters with 30+ years' experience combined who
went out on their own in November 2024 to do the kind of joinery you only notice because it's right.
Conversions and extensions, first & second fix, fitted kitchens, bespoke joinery and pergolas, cladding —
plus fire door surveys and installation to BM TRADA standards. Built on site, signed off by us.
We keep our services tight because we'd rather be brilliant at a handful of things than average at twenty. If it's in timber and it needs doing properly, this is our list.
01Service
Conversions & Extensions
Garages turned into useable rooms, lofts opened up with new joists, dormers, stairs and second-fix throughout. Single- and two-storey extensions delivered with our trusted groundwork partner — one quote, one programme, one team you can call.

First & Second Fix
Studwork, noggins and joists on first fix. Skirting, architraves, door hanging and trim on second. The timber side of any project, start to finish.

Bespoke Joinery & Pergolas
Built-in wardrobes, shelving, panelling, media walls, window seats, benches — plus oak and softwood pergolas for the garden. Floor-to-ceiling, wall-to-wall, scribed in on site. If it's a brief we haven't fitted before, even better.

05Service
Cladding
External and internal timber cladding — shiplap, feather edge, charred larch, painted softwood. Battened, fixed and finished correctly so it weathers the way it should.

Fire Door Surveys & Install
Surveys of existing fire doors — gaps, seals, hinges, closers, signage — logged against the standard with a clear report. New installs to BM TRADA standards: intumescent strips, smoke seals, certified ironmongery, traceable paperwork. When the inspector checks, everything's where it needs to be.

02 — On Site
We measure once twice, cut once, and stand behind every joint.
Founded in November 2024 by Ciaran and Neil — two carpenters with 30+ years' experience combined who decided, after years on other people's jobs, to go out on their own.
Everything we do is fitted on site — conversions and extensions, first and second fix, fitted kitchens, bespoke joinery and pergolas, cladding, plus fire door surveys and installation to BM TRADA standards. If it's in timber and it lives in your building, it's ours to get right.
Every project starts on site with a tape measure, a pencil and an hour of your time. Every project ends with us hoovering up before we leave. In between is the part we love.

03 — How We Work
Four steps from idea to installed.
01
Consult
We come out, look at the space, listen to what you want, and ask the awkward questions before the quote, not after.
02
Design
Drawings, timber samples, a fixed-price quote. No "unforeseen extras" clauses hiding in the small print.
03
Prep
Materials ordered to spec, certification paperwork lined up, dates locked in the diary. We don't arrive on your doorstep without a plan.
04
Fit
Fitted on site, scribed, levelled, snagged the same day. Whether it's a fitted kitchen, a staircase, first or second fix, joinery or fire doors, the standard is the same. We leave when you're happy — not before.

“We recently used C&N Carpentry for the installation of 36 fire doorsets at Aldershot Dental Centre, and I am extremely pleased with the quality of the workmanship and overall service provided. C&N Carpentry carried out the installation under the BM TRADA scheme to a very high standard throughout. A special mention must go to Ciaran, who was excellent throughout the project. I would highly recommend C&N Carpentry to anyone requiring compliant fire door installations carried out professionally and to a high standard.”

“C&N Carpentry installed new oak doors and a new glass and oak staircase with added LED lights for increased effect. They were very professional, tidy and friendly. The price quoted was very reasonable and the time it took to complete was great. I would use them again without hesitation.”
